\nI think your topic is a really cool concept. Looking at how the pyramids differed from site to site will be very interesting, and you have some great primary sources to back your thoughts up. The map of the site in Holmul, Guatemala looks really cool, but what might be more useful would be to get actual pictures instead of just descriptions by words. Or maybe you already have this?? Your topic seems like it will work really well though. Good luck.

For the Classic period, I will use Holmul for examples of architecture. The excavation report from the Holmul Archeological Project is therefore very useful in gathering important quantitative data on Holmul's buildings, specifically their pyramids.
\n
\nI hope to compare several aspects over several eras, including layout of the sites, size of buildings, prominent structures, and types of pyramids. This document provides me with information on all of the above. The report lists specific heights and positions of the many structures, and speaks on the general three-part layout of the buildings. The report also gives details about the specific types of pyramids and their dimensions, which will be very useful in comparison.
\n
\nThis document is especially great not just because it gives me raw data that I can use for comparison at my own leisure, but I also know the information to be correct, as it was gathered firsthand by a team of acredited archeologists from Vanderbilt University on a series archeological endeavor. Thus, I do not have to compare different forms of pyramids based solely on what I see in tourist photos. Also, the document is mostly fact, and does not form its own analysis of the site, thus avoiding sweeping generalizations which can lead to improper and incorrect analysis.","replyPages":[{"page":0,"digests":[],"more":0}]}],"more":false},"comments":[]},"http":{"code":200,"status":"OK"},"redirectUrl":null,"javascript":null,"notices":{"warning":[],"error":[],"info":[],"success":[]}}
